A Swedish patient took an international flight to Sharksville, Washington to see a famous doctor who could possibly help him with his severely wounded shoulder. The Swedish patient’s shoulder had been shot during a scuffle in Afghanistan when he was serving as a soldier there. The doctor in Sharksville, Washington was a specialist with gunshot wounds to the shoulder. When the doctor assessed the patient’s condition, he noticed there was a shortage of muscle in the shoulder and that some of the bone had been shattered. He asked the patient’s permission to use muscle from the patient’s thighs to rebuild the shoulder muscles, and he also asked if he could shave some splintered bone from the shoulder area and replace it with healthier bone from the patient’s shin. The patient happily agreed, and today, the patient is happy and healthy and working as an aviation specialist for NASA.
