Interviewing and Reporting on a Classmate

For this next speech, you will be talking in-depth with a classmate about a tradition or holiday specific to that classmate’s native culture. Find out how your partner and his/her family and friends celebrated that holiday, tradition, or custom. After you gather information from your classmate, you will put it into a presentation so you can tell us more about the tradition or holiday and share some stories about how the classmate celebrated or participated.

Follow the rules for conducting an interview on page 46 of your book.

Presentation Specifics:

• Time Limit: 2-4 minutes

• Required Visuals: Photographs/Drawings/Objects provided by the internet or by your interviewed classmate
