A:         Hi!  How was your vacation in Bermuda?  I tried (try) to call you while you were away, but you had turned (turn) off your cell phone.

B:         Yeah.  I was having a great time.  I blocked (block) out all communication with work so I could just relax.  We spent_(spend) a lot of time at the beach.

A:         Did you go snorkeling?  I snorkeled_(snorkel) in the Bahamas.  It was fabulous.

B:         No, I didn’t snorkel, but we rented (rent) scooters and rode (ride) all over the island.

A:         Sounds like fun.  What else did you do?

B:         We visited (visit) with friends of ours who have a house on the island.  They cooked (cook) a great meal of fresh fish and local vegetables.  We also sailed (sail) on a fishing boat and viewed (view) some of the local sharks out by the reefs.

A:         Oh, I’ve heard that a lot of those sharks are hunted (hunt) for food and for sport.

B:         Yes, and the corral there is being destroyed (destroy) by the diving and boating.  I counted (count) six reefs as we were boating by that looked like they were crumbling.

A:         That’s terrible!  So will you go back to Bermuda on a future vacation?

B:         I have to.  While I was there, I actually leased (lease) a house near the shore.  Now, I have a place to stay whenever I get the urge for some fun and sun.
