The following are some typical questions you will be asked during the Exit Interview.  Answer the following question in complete sentences.  Notice the verb tense in parentheses you should use when answering the questions. Be careful of irregular past tense verbs and past tense endings when answering the past tense questions.

  1. What are you studying currently?  (present progressive)
  2. What do you like most about the United States? (simple present)
  3. What were you doing before you came to the United States? (past progressive)
  4. Did you study English back in your home country?  How long did you study it?
  5. What other subjects were you required to study during your high school education? (simple past)

Also, read the vowel comparison reading:

There was once an old woman who had a dog she wanted to take to a dog show, but the dog had an old collar.  She didn’t want to go to the show and have the dog show audience focus on her dog’s old collar, so she called a company that sold collars.

This woman caller wanted to know what colors the collars came in.

The woman caller asked, “What color collars do you have?”

The call center representative consulted the collar color list and replied, “The collars come in an array of colorful options.  Since you’ve called for our collar color choices, I’ll send you a collar color flyer.”

The woman caller was so happy that she had called to confirm collar colors.  Now, her dog would go to the show with a collar that showed he was a dog show winner.
