Greeting people in the United States can be tricky. Usually, when you meet someone you’ve
never met before, you verbally introduce yourself and then shake
their hand. However, when you shake
their hand, you shouldn’t squeeze their hand too tightly or shake it
for too long. Your handshake should be
firm but gentle in order to show confidence, and you should shake
up and down twice before releasing your grip.
