October 2 Homework
HEAR THE
PASSAGE
Most students devote a great deal of thought and effort to
the process of getting into college – getting out of college is something they
think about later. Four-year colleges in
the United States
have similar requirements for graduation.
There is, of course, a requirement that all tuition and fees be paid
before the degree is granted. Colleges
also have a residency requirement: Most
of the courses that count toward graduation must be taken at the college
granting the degree. This means that
students who want to transfer to another college should do so early, so they
don’t have to take extra credits to fulfill the residency requirement.
